Shooter Still At-Large
FBI officials released new video footage Thursday showing the suspected gunman fleeing across a rooftop after shooting Charlie Kirk, then dropping to the ground and walking into a wooded area. The footage represents the clearest visual evidence in the ongoing manhunt that has now stretched over 30 hours.
Investigators also published images of a person of interest wearing sunglasses, a baseball cap, and a shirt with an American flag design. The FBI offered a $100,000 reward and received over 7,000 tips from the public, officials said Thursday.
FBI Director Kash Patel traveled to Utah to oversee the investigation personally after initially announcing an arrest that proved false. Authorities recovered a bolt-action rifle and forensic evidence from the scene but have made no arrests.

Paramount Eyes Warner
Paramount Skydance is preparing a majority cash bid for Warner Bros. Discovery backed by the Ellison family. The bid targets Warner's entire $33 billion company, including cable networks and movie studio operations.
Warner shares surged nearly 30% Thursday following the Wall Street Journal report, while Paramount Skydance rose 16%. The move aims to preempt potential bidding wars with tech giants like Amazon and Apple for Warner's streaming and studio assets.
No formal bid has been submitted and plans could still collapse, sources said. The potential combination would unite two major Hollywood studios and streaming services HBO Max and Paramount+, likely triggering regulatory scrutiny over market concentration. This could start a bidding war.

Ending Pharma Ads
President Trump signed a memorandum Tuesday directing officials to crack down on direct-to-consumer prescription drug advertisements, stopping short of an outright ban. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will lead enforcement efforts alongside FDA Commissioner Marty Makary.
The administration plans to send approximately 100 cease-and-desist letters and thousands of warning letters to companies, officials told reporters. The crackdown will also target social media influencers and online pharmacies promoting pharmaceutical products without proper disclosures or regulatory compliance.
Pharmaceutical companies spent over $10 billion on prescription drug advertising last year, according to MediaRadar data. The new enforcement will close a 1997 loophole allowing ads to refer consumers to websites for complete side effect information rather than including it directly (this will sting major networks).
