TOP STORY TODAY
Warner Bros. Sale
Warner Bros. Discovery announced Tuesday it is exploring a sale after receiving "unsolicited interest" from multiple parties. Shares surged over 10%. The media giant owns HBO, CNN, and Warner Bros. studio.
The company, valued at $45 billion, holds rights to major franchises including Harry Potter, Superman, and DC Comics (This is why CBS’s The Big Bang Theory only features DC characters). Warner Bros. Discovery formed in 2022 from a merger of AT&T's WarnerMedia and Discovery. It carries billions in debt.
Comcast and Paramount Global are among potential buyers reportedly interested, sources said. The sale continues alongside WBD's previously announced plan to split cable networks from streaming and studio businesses. Is CNN in trouble?
BUSINESS
Amazon Prime Settlement
Amazon reached a $2.5 billion settlement with the FTC last month over allegations it enrolled millions in Prime subscriptions without consent and made cancellation difficult, officials announced. Refunds will be distributed by Christmas.
Of the settlement, $1 billion covers civil penalties while $1.5 billion goes to customer refunds. Eligible U.S. Prime members who subscribed through certain processes between June 2019-2025 may receive up to $51.
Amazon will automatically send refunds to qualifying customers by December 25, the FTC said. A claims process opens next year for additional eligible members. Amazon must now simplify subscription enrollment and cancellation. Does Amazon owe you money?
FRAUD
Surrogacy Escrow Fraud
A surrogacy escrow company owner allegedly misused up to $16 million in client funds for personal ventures including a recording studio and vegan clothing brand (WSJ). Surrogacy Escrow Account Management left hundreds of families without payment.
The surrogacy industry handles over 10,000 transfers annually with costs exceeding $150,000 per birth, but escrow companies managing millions face no federal oversight, a Journal review found. Multiple fraud cases have emerged industry-wide.
The Justice Department is investigating SEAM owner Dominique Side, sources said. A Texas court awarded families over $1 million in damages. Many families abandoned plans for children after funds vanished. How does surrogacy work?

Huberman's Morning Sunlight Protocol
Optimize circadian rhythm and cortisol awakening response through light exposure. Viewing bright light within 30-60 minutes of waking sets biological clock for better sleep and energy. Here’s how:
Timing window: Get outside within 30-60 minutes of waking
Duration target: 2-10 minutes on clear days, 20-30 on overcast mornings
No sunglasses: Direct light to retina (never stare at sun)
Consistency matters: Daily practice yields compounding benefits
Neuroscience backed: Activates melanopsin ganglion cells that regulate circadian timing
Huberman explains: "This is the single most powerful stimulus for waking up your brain and body."
The practice anchors your body's master clock, improving mood, metabolism, focus and nighttime sleep quality through proper hormonal timing.
How to Get Abs Like J.Lo
Fitness journalist tested Jennifer Lopez's core routine for one week. The workout includes three circuits of hanging ab raises, rope crunches, and weighted sit-ups (50, 35, then 21 reps each). Lopez (now 56) supplements with pole dancing and hot yoga on recovery days. Building comparable core strength requires 12-18 months of consistent progressive overload training.
