Election Day Strikes
Ukraine launched more than 1,000 drones at Russia overnight Sunday, including about 450 aimed at Moscow, in what the city's mayor called the largest attack ever on the capital. Two people were killed near Moscow.
Flames rose over a major Moscow oil refinery, and an apartment block south of the city had its upper windows blown out. Ukraine's president said the strikes targeted oil and logistics sites that fund Russia's war.
The attack came on the last day of Russia's first parliamentary election since the invasion. Moscow's mayor called it an attempt to disrupt the vote. Ukraine says Russia fired over 2,000 drones at it this week. What one resident saw as the glass flew.
The Buffett Handoff
Warren Buffett stepped down Friday as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, a role he held since 1970. His son Howard, a board member since 1993, takes over, while Buffett, 96, becomes chairman emeritus.
Greg Abel, who took over as CEO in January, runs the company. Buffett described Howard's job as guarding the culture, comparing him to an insurance policy shareholders hope never to claim. Howard, 71, still farms his own land.
Under Buffett, Berkshire returned 19.7% a year compounded, nearly double the S&P 500. The next question is voting control, which may stay with the Buffett family through charitable trusts after his death. The farmer-philanthropist now chairing Berkshire.
Napster Clones Teachers
Napster, the file-sharing service that shook the music industry in 1999, is now building AI clones of teachers (Wired). It signed a deal with a large private school operator in Dubai to test them in classrooms (Napster’s AI pivot).
The digital twins are trained on a teacher's own courses and papers, so students can question a copy of their instructor at midnight. Teachers see which questions come up most, flagging where students struggle.
A tech company bought Napster for $207 million in 2025 and shut its music service in January. Both companies say the clones will support teachers, not replace them, and student data stays in the country. Napster's CEO on augmenting, not replacing.

Hilary Duff's "Stronger, Not Smaller" Workout

It's not about eyelids. Tomlin says the line has two jobs.
First, it trains a team to smile in the face of adversity, because adversity is part of the game.
Second, it prepares them to not be normal. Blinking is normal, but ordinary people are capable of extraordinary things when they refuse to flinch.
His trick: wrap a big idea in a line so strange nobody can forget it.
