TOP STORY TODAY
LaGuardia Runway Crash
An Air Canada regional jet collided with a Port Authority fire truck while landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport late Sunday night, killing both pilots. The flight, carrying 72 passengers and four crew from Montreal, left roughly 40 people hospitalized, though most were released by Monday morning.
The fire truck had received clearance to cross the runway when the collision occurred. Audio captured an air traffic controller urgently warning the truck to stop before impact. The crash severed the cockpit and ejected a flight attendant, who survived.
The NTSB is leading the investigation alongside Canadian authorities. The affected runway faces closure for several days. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy noted LaGuardia currently operates below its target of 37 certified controllers. Minute-by-minute breakdown here.
OnlyFans Owner Dies, 43
Leo Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of OnlyFans, died at 43 following a long battle with cancer (WSJ). The reclusive entrepreneur purchased the then-obscure British platform in 2018 and grew it to over 377 million users, generating $7.2 billion in revenue for the year ending November 2024.
Born in the Soviet Union and raised near Chicago, Radvinsky began his first online business as a teenager in 1999. He later founded MyFreeCams in 2004 before acquiring OnlyFans, which he transformed into a dominant adult content subscription platform taking a 20% creator commission (business model, explained).
At the time of his death, Radvinsky had been seeking to sell OnlyFans, with talks underway for a 60% stake sale valuing the company at roughly $3.5 billion. OnlyFans most “revenue efficient” company in the world.
Trump Account Hack
New "Trump accounts," available this summer, allow parents to open tax-advantaged retirement savings for children at birth. Children born between 2025 and 2028 receive a $1,000 federal seed contribution, with parents able to add up to $5,000 annually. Roughly four million children have already been enrolled as of mid-March (WSJ).
The accounts must invest in U.S. stock index funds until age 18, then follow standard IRA rules. Financial planners suggest waiting until around age 24 to convert balances into Roth IRAs, avoiding a tax provision that can trigger higher rates for younger account holders.
With maximum contributions converted to a Roth IRA at 24, projections show balances potentially reaching $3 million by retirement age, with withdrawals entirely tax-free. Enroll your child here.

TODAY’S LIFE ADVICE
Why Nobody is Having Sex Anymore
The modern 'sex recession' isn't just about declining intimacy: it's a symptom of deeper societal shifts affecting how men and women connect.
One in three men aged 18-24 report no sexual activity in the past year, while weekly sex among adults has dropped from 55% (1990) to 37% today.
The most actionable insight: If you're in a relationship and your partner is on hormonal birth control, have them come off it well before major commitments like moving in together or engagement.
Mate preferences can shift significantly when coming off the pill, and it's better to discover compatibility issues early rather than after you've built a life together (see the Henry Cavill vs Timothée Chalamet debate here).
The Science on Morning Larks vs. Night Owls
Your sleep preference isn't a personality choice; it's biology. Genetics, age, light exposure, and even proximity to the equator all shape your natural chronotype. Research identifies 351 genetic factors influencing sleep timing alone.
Sleep specialist Dr. Michael Breus breaks chronotypes into four categories:
Bears (50-55%): sleep with solar cycles
Wolves (15-30%): peak productivity at night
Lions (15%): early risers, asleep by 9pm
Dolphins (10-15%): light sleepers prone to insomnia
