Cell Network Threat
Secret Service agents dismantled a network of electronic devices around New York City that could disable the city's cellphone system. The system was also used to convey assassination threats against senior U.S. officials.
Agents discovered over 300 SIM servers and 100,000 SIM cards at five locations within 35 miles of NYC. The network enabled anonymous encrypted communications for criminal enterprises and could disable cellphone towers (is this thread a trend?).
Officials are investigating whether the network was intended to disrupt this week's United Nations General Assembly. No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues to identify those responsible.

Trump Ukraine Shift
President Trump said Ukraine can regain all lost territory after meeting Ukrainian President Zelensky at the United Nations Tuesday, marking an extraordinary shift from previous suggestions of land swapping for peace.
Trump called Russia's war effort "aimless" after three years, saying Ukraine could "fight and WIN" with European support. Russia currently controls about 20% of Ukrainian territory but hasn't achieved major breakthroughs.
Zelensky called Trump a "game changer" and said the president now understands the battlefield situation. Trump also said NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft entering alliance airspace. Trump calls Russia “Paper Tiger.”

Gen Z's Sleep Tracking Problem
The generation obsessed with optimization broke their sleep trying to perfect it. A 2025 report reveals 40% of Gen Z suffers from sleep anxiety caused by their own tracking devices. Scientists call it "orthosomnia"—obsessing over sleep metrics instead of actually sleeping. Technology designed to improve sleep is destroying it. Gen Z creates performance anxiety by chasing perfect scores.
