TOP STORY TODAY
Iran Threatens Trump
A senior Iranian cleric broadcast a call for violence against President Trump and Israeli leadership on state television yesterday, as U.S. and Israeli forces continued strikes on Iran targeting leadership, missile capabilities, and nuclear facilities that began Saturday.
Iran's foreign minister condemned the U.S. Navy's sinking of an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean Tuesday, which killed at least 87 sailors. Iran has since fired on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Israel, while Turkey intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile.
The conflict has killed over 1,000 in Iran, 70 in Lebanon, and roughly a dozen in Israel, while disrupting global oil supply and international shipping. The wealthy are scrambling to leave Dubai.
Berkshire Buys Back
Berkshire Hathaway's new CEO Greg Abel directed the company to repurchase its own shares this week, the first buyback in nearly two years. Abel also personally bought roughly $15 million in Berkshire stock and pledged to invest his entire annual salary in shares every year.
Abel, who succeeded Warren Buffett in January, inherited a record $373 billion cash pile that investors had been watching closely. Berkshire shares have fallen roughly 8% since Buffett announced his retirement in May 2025 (WSJ).
Abel signaled the company remains ready to deploy capital during any financial downturn, while Buffett, 95, stays on as chairman and consults daily from Berkshire's Omaha office. Warren Buffett’s final shareholder letter here.
Clocks Spring Forward
Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8, when most Americans move clocks forward one hour at 2 a.m. The practice, established federally in 1918 and last updated by Congress in 2005, shifts evening daylight later into the day. Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe DST.
Losing one hour disrupts the body's circadian rhythm more than it sounds. Research links the days after the spring shift to increased fatigue, higher car accident rates, and short-term health impacts, a stretch sometimes called "Sleepy Monday."
Experts recommend shifting bedtime 15 to 20 minutes earlier for a few days beforehand and getting morning sunlight after the change to help reset the internal clock.

TODAY’S LIFE ADVICE
Outwork Everyone By Doing 1% Better
Codie Sanchez puts it plainly: "Every system you have is a silent employee working for you."
Most people hire slowly and build nothing. She argues that the smartest operators do the opposite. They build systems that clock in daily without a paycheck.
Put your silent workforce to work:
Template every repeated answer, never explain the same thing twice
Auto-invest 10-30% before a single dollar hits your spending account
Batch meetings to two days, let the calendar rule run itself
Record a Loom for onboarding, drop it in a doc, done forever
Your silent employees don't call in sick. They don't need managing. They just compound. The question isn't how hard you work. It's how many systems are working when you aren't.
Is Social Media Making You “Ugly?”
Health guinea pig Bryan Johnson says heavy scrollers drop "at least a point or two on the attractiveness scale. You may go from a seven to a five."
More inflammation. Worse sleep. Higher anxiety. Higher depression. Your body keeps score and it shows on your face.
Theo Von now warns people before checking his phone, treating it like stepping outside for a cigarette. Put it down.
